Lupe's Theme feat. Kate Kurdyak
The illustrator Anthony Macbain created some great artwork for the album. As the character turned out to be female, it seemed to call for some female influence on the music. 

After some time looking for the right singer, I remembered Vox Rea, a Canadian noir pop band led by Kate Kurdyak and her sister Lauren who I thought would be ideal. I'd heard their fantastic track Dose Me Up in 2020, and mentioned it on my blog at the time. I've been lucky to cross paths with some superb musicians and Kate is a case in point. Not long afterwards, Vox Rea's track Julia made it across the pond onto BBC Radio 6 so very maybe we'll be hearing more of Vox Rea - very much hope so!
